Totara. A native tree needle-like leaves found throughout New Zealand. Trees are either male or female and the female trees have bright red, berry-like fruit in Autumn. Can be used as a clipped formal hedge at 1m spacing. Full sun or semi-shade. Dry tolerant once established. Wind tolerant. Frost hardy. Provides food for native birds
