A superb looking hedging plant that has to be seen to be believed. Mid-sized leaves are a dark green oval with the new growth a brilliant lime. Unlike most holly, the leaves are oval and smooth; however it has some similarities in that it is relatively slow growing. It trims well into a hedge or shaped large shrub.
