This mat-forming shrub has deeply lobed evergreen leaves and burgundy-red spring flowers. The oak-like leaves of 'Aussie Crawl' are alternately borne on trailing, carpeting stems. The leaves flush bronze and mature to dark green. Toothbrush-shaped clusters of dark red flowers appear along the stems from late winter to late spring, and sometimes again in autumn.
